PostSubject: Noodles in Food   Fri May 14, 2010 4:33 pm

I have been told that I come up with weird concoctions of food - but they're all good, I promise! - and most of these things contain noodles, because you can have noodles with EVERYTHING!
Ok, maybe not quite everything, but still...

At the moment, because it's all cold and rainy, I have been dreaming of miso soup - though my way of making it is slightly random: with noodles Very Happy But the miso paste is really yummy and that's what counts!

I recently came back from teaching prac and one of the girls there mixed oranges, like, whole oranges, with her tea. And then she ate the cells out with a spoon. Never seen someone do that before.

I eat a lot of noodles, too, but rather than artistic flair it's more a result of me being a terrible cook, and noodles being inexpensive. I just boil them up, then add grated cheese, viennas / ham / whatever other meat I can find and drown in MSG. Yum!

Don't think I've had miso paste. Where can you find/buy such?

haha Laughing no, I've never done something quite as odd as oranges in tea...

there's a little Chinese shop around the corner from Cavendish - I think it's the Mainland China's outlet shop or something, but I've never actually taken note of their name. They sell food related things at really cheep prices! Like if you want tofu or dumplings or random things in packges which don't have english instructions... lol!

The only things I'll buy from a chinese shop are tofu and tea. I don't trust the products really.

I love curry (spicy food is especially great when you have a cold...,mmm yummy for curry). I'm not big on pasta like panarottis. But spagetti, with tomato breedie and raw spinach leaves and feta as toppings is とても おいしい です。 Very Happy

My mom makes the best tomato food ever!! its a little spicy too

Very Happy

What I also love is savoury rice. I love making it too, well, because its the only thing I can cook.
